The Opportunity
Position Description Senior engineers at the company own the design, delivery, and reliability of complex parts of our platform. You'll lead the architecture of new solutions, solve our hardest technical problems, and set the quality bar — increasingly by directing AI coding agents and reviewing their work as rigorously as you'd review a teammate's. You'll mentor other engineers, shape our technical direction, and partner with product and cross-functional teams to make sure what we build serves the business. Deep fundamentals matter more in this role, not less: you can't safely review what an agent produces if you don't deeply understand the systems underneath it.
Primary Responsibilities
Design & Architecture: Lead the technical design and implementation of major initiatives and product features that meet critical business requirements. Author technical designs for large projects and applications, and provide guidance on the business case for pursuing technical changes. Manage complex systems and architectures, planning for performance, scale, and reliability from the start. Identify the business impact of a technical change, and lead others across the organization in mitigating it.

About the Team
The company's engineering team operates with a customer-outcome-driven mindset — every piece of work starts from a real metric or a real customer problem, not shipping for its own sake. Understanding why something matters is part of everyone's job, not just product management's. The team is AI-forward by default. Coding agents have genuinely changed how the team works — engineers now ship several times the pull requests they used to. The scarce skill isn't typing code anymore; it's the judgment to specify a problem well, direct agents to solve it, and rigorously review and verify what comes back. If you're excited about pushing the frontier of how software gets built, this is the place to do it. A few principles define the culture: Data-driven decisions: The team reaches for evidence over opinion — instrumenting what they build, watching how it behaves, and letting the numbers settle debates. Leave it better than you found it: Engineers optimize for the team's output, not their own — leaving code, docs, and context better than they found them, making it easy for the next person to move fast. Work in the open: Thinking out loud in Slack, sharing half-formed ideas and work-in-progress, asking questions publicly, and keeping others in the loop by default. Transparency is how the team moves fast without silos. Bias to action: The team would rather make a reversible decision quickly than stall for consensus. They debate hard, disagree openly, and once a call is made, commit fully.
The company is a ~100-person company backed by Andreessen Horowitz, GLP Capital Partners, NewRoad Capital Partners, and Initialized Capital. The team is fully remote across the US and Canada, guided by core values of putting customers first, learning and iterating, building a great community, and showing that they care. They embrace differences, act with integrity and empathy, and are looking for strong, diverse team members who want to make a significant impact on the growth of the fastest-growing supply chain technology company in North America.
